A few of you probably remember the band I was in, Something Jones. We've been getting together and running through some new songs. We're nowhere near ready to play out, but it's a start.
We found out that a band in the UK has released an album under the name "Something Jones". So we're name-shopping. For now, we're tentatively calling ourselves Westerly. (Let me know what you think. I like it, but other band members aren't convinced yet.)
You can hear a couple of songs we recorded during a rehearsal here.
Like I said, we have some work to do. Jake switched to guitar, so we're looking for a bass player. If anyone knows of one in the Springfield or Joplin area, send them our way.
January 2006 Shows
Sorry it's been so long since the last update. I hope everyone had a good New Years. I took a little time off over the winter and didn't book any gigs, but I've got a couple lined up for January.
Friday, January 6th I'll be at The Gateway Creamery in Joplin, Missouri.
Saturday, January 29th I'm playing at Stella's in Pittsburg, Kansas.
